Financial Support
Participation in the Energy Transition Academy: Circular Economy & Life Cycle Thinking is supported by the NAWA SPINAKER programme. Selected international participants who successfully pass the recruitment procedure may receive financial support for travel, accommodation, subsistence and participation in the on-site part of the summer school in Gliwice, Poland.
Financial support is granted as lump-sum support. This means that the amount is fixed and depends on the participant’s country/distance group, not on the actual price of tickets or accommodation.
For information purposes, approximate amounts in EUR are also provided below. The conversion is based on an indicative exchange rate of 1 EUR ≈ 4.30 PLN. The actual EUR value may vary depending on the exchange rate at the time of payment or currency exchange.
What support is available?
1. Travel support
Participants travelling to Poland may receive a lump-sum contribution for travel costs. The travel support is intended to cover travel to Poland and return travel to the participant’s country of residence.
The planned travel support is:
Group 4 countries: 3,000 PLN — approximately 700 EUR per participant
Group 6 countries: 6,500 PLN — approximately 1,510 EUR per participant
The amount is not calculated on the basis of the actual ticket price. If the actual travel cost is lower than the lump-sum amount, the participant keeps the lump-sum support. If the actual travel cost is higher, the difference is covered by the participant.
2. Accommodation and subsistence support
Selected international participants will receive support related to their stay in Poland during the on-site part of the programme.
The planned support is calculated for 7 days of stay:
300 PLN per day × 7 days = 2,100 PLN
approximately 490 EUR per participant
This support is intended to help cover accommodation and living costs during the stay in Gliwice.
3. Scholarship
Selected international participants may also receive a scholarship for the period of participation in the on-site programme.
The planned scholarship is calculated for 7 days of stay: 75 PLN per day × 7 days = 525 PLN means approximately 120 EUR per participant
The scholarship is intended to support the participant’s living expenses during the programme.
